Established in 1895, Rosella is one of Australia's great brand icons and remains an Aussie favourite on plates throughout the nation.
For over a century the Rosella brand has closely mirrored our emerging Australian identity. Over time the Rosella bird came to be recognised as a symbol of Rosella's Australian origins and a "trust mark" that stood for quality ingredients and manufacture.
Rosella has been associated with an impressive and wide range of food products including jams, jellies, canned fruit, spaghetti, honey, salt, mayonnaise, dressings, tomato paste and soups.

Today the Rosella product portfolio includes:

  • Tomato Sauce regular, low Joule and No added salt

  • Tomato Soup regular and salt reduced

  • Fruit Chutney and low joule variant

  • Sweet Mustard Pickles

  • Rosella utilizes the finest grown produce. The tomatoes used for all Rosella products are high in nutritional value, whilst low in salt. Rosella products do not contain any artificial ingredients, flavours or colouring. The ingredients for all Rosella products are prepared with care and pride, ensuring that a high level of natural vitamins and nutrients are retained.

    What's in a name?

The brand name 'Rosella' is rumoured to be derived from a combination of the names Rose and Ella, daughters of the original owners, and it is also attributed to the large flocks of Eastern Rosella that routinely flew over the back yard of the company in 1894.
The Australian Eastern Rosella was one of the first birds to be noticed by early settlers due to its rich colourings. The Rosella is now renowned as one of the most beautiful and cheerful birds of the world.
The Rosella trademark, while originally registered for a Eucalyptus oil and Rhemeumatic Cure, was purchased for use by the Rosella Preserving Company Limited in 1895.
